The ARC Project has an office space open 3 days a week for case work support.  If you are an asylum seeker or refugee and need help making phone calls, understanding letters or require advice please come into reception and make an appointment.  Our office is open;

English Club         

ARC provides English Classes twice a week at different ability levels. These are free of charge, easily accessible and based around practical language learning, aiming to ease integration and boost well-being. 

English Club runs;

Wednesday 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Friday 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Each day we run four different classes:

  • Absolute Beginners Class (ABC)
  • Beginners
  • Parents with preschool children
  • Intermediate
  • Advanced

ARC runs a weekly social Drop-In for asylum seekers and refugees to meet, socialise and share food together. During this time there are a range of activities to participate in such as pool, table tennis and craft. Representatives from partner organisations also attend the Drop-In to offer opportunities to community members and meet with other professionals involved with asylum seekers and refugees in the Blackburn with Darwen Borough.

Active Together Group

We are now partnering with Home Start to offer a free playgroup for 0-5 year olds on;

Thursday 10:00 am - 12:00 noon.

Asylum seeker and refugee families are invited to come and join in the fun including free refreshments and lots of activities for parents and children to enjoy together.
